Wow, we had another blackout here today. Very very odd. I think this tops the number of blackouts I've have ever been in for a months worth of time....ever. The apartment situation is just getting more and more odd. I'm figuring out that there's probably a majority of people out there that don't like to, or can't handle change. Now granted change can suck, and no one is going to really be all happy about a change they don't want. But I think in general for some people, if things just do not go their way they get all weird about stuff. For example, lets pretend that you (whoever you are out there reading this..) live with two other people. You actually are like some kind of weird green peace, tree loving person, and want to participate in recycling. Would it be at all that nice to turn the communal area (living room, dining room, bathroom) of your apartment that you share with two other people into this unbearable recycling center? Then on top of that you decide that when you goto Costco you want to collect all of these boxes cause you feel you could use them one day. And here's the catch you decide to store these boxen in.....yes that's right in the communal area's space. Isn't that awesome? (sarcasm) Why not just promote more clutter to everyone's lives by collecting worthless shit. Now granted I love the environment and I totally think recycling is great, although I don't have the time for that, but I do give credit to those who do make an effort to recycle. If I did recycle I wouldn't put it in a place that everyone uses so.....I would probably just put it in some containers in the back patio area. But I'm not like that I figure the amount of money i get from recycling would probably barely cover the cost of the containers I'd use to organize my recycling habit. On a completely somewhat related not we also have someone that buys the newspaper. (hrmm...I know what you're thinking....more stuff to recycle!!!) okay, let me give all of you out there my spin on getting the local newspaper. DON'T!!!! Especially if you have a computer and an internet connection. It's just more trees going dead and ending up sprawled across your living room or some other designated area. For example when I was living back home during my college years, my family would subscribe to two different papers, one being the "Los Angeles Times", and the other would be the local paper. Ok so that's a huge amount of reading to do daily not to mention, about where does the paper go after it's done? Well in our home it ended up on top of the kitchen table, and then after the day was over it would end up stacked on one of the unused dining chairs. At the time I didn't care much because that simply wasn't any of my say in things. I didn't pay rent, or own the home, and I hardly used the kitchen let alone the living room when I was at home. I was pretty much was held up in my room on my computer(s) or simply never home. Usually the latter. So looking back on what would happen to that newspaper, I observed that indeed, I should either invest in the LA Times, or start my own paper cause I could make a killing, or of course I'm not going to get any kind of newspaper, it's just a waste of precious resources. Further more there is that whole situation of I could just goto "cnn.com," and simply read whatever it is going on to my hearts content, much like I do with "slashdot.org" and tech stuff. Funniest thing is that I'll read about something on one of my feeds and about a day later in conversation while my roommate is burrowing in his paper making this huge mess, I simply reply, "oh ya I read it on
