Yet Another Show

Tuesday, May 17, 2005 03:07 AM

Woohoo, I've been wanting to see Audioslave for a long time since Drew first introduced me to them about a year ago. Two words to describe the show, "Bloody Amazing!" Not only did they play their music but they covered Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, and of course Mr. Chris Cornell couldn't resist playing two songs off of his solo album. Drew has metioned that Morello the guitarist should do a solo project, and I have to agree, the guy is a god on the guitar. WOW! Just awesome. The venue I went to is called the Warfield, in San Francisco. When I stepped into the joint, the first thing that hit me was wow, this soo feels like I've been here before. The venue totally reminds me of "The Palace" in Hollywood, CA. All of you So. Cal. people that have had the pleasure of watching bands at the palace will know what I'm talking about. When I saw that The Get Up Kids at Slims, I have to admit Slims felt foreign, but this place, felt like, "Yes, this feels familar, and yes I'm comfortable." This time I didn't have to worry about swindling to get to the floor, I made sure this time I was on the floor, before I bought the tickets, and believe me they were pricey. And it was worth every penny!Update:Drew showed me this myspace page for audioslave, it had this flash application, that I've hijacked for your listening pleasure!
