Kegbot

Sunday, July 31, 2005 11:48 AM

Every year I say, I'm going to Defcon, and every year I don't go. Next year I really want to goto Defcon, and I'm going to plan on it. I found this cool link, on how a group of hackers have "hacked" a kegerator. Essentially they put an iButton on kegerator, to identify who you are before you pour. It tracks how much you've poured, and if the freezer is on or off. It will also group you into a team and track how much beer your team has consumed. This might be a huge hit with frats or just groups of men in college?!!? Or for a poker night? The Setup.iButton InterfaceiButton in action!LCD Display

MotoQ

So another post, that is back to back about motorola. I just can't believe these guys. They are on a roll. The RAZR is a hit! It's still incomplete though. So they've seen that the smartphone market is a huge hit and is really starting to revolutionize the cell phone market. So they decided to make a smartphone. Thank GOD they didn't write the software themselves, but damn them for going out and using Windows Mobile Smartphone 2005!!! Why not a Linux solution? Why not Blackberry? Why not PalmOS!!!???? If I was Motorola I would've went out and licensed PalmOS. They would have totally killed the Treo. This device is far sexier than the Treo will ever be. Unfortunately it will lack where the Treo's software will be far superior. But I can say that I might be jumping the ball on this one, perhaps Windows Mobile Smartphone 2005 is finally the mature enough Windows CE that we all expected it to be 5 years ago? But it's Microsoft so who knows. Check out the pics below.

RAZR in other colors?

Saturday, July 30, 2005 10:32 AM

I physically love my RAZR phone. The software internally to the phone is a nightmare usability wise though. Motorola has actually gotten smart about this whole cell phone thing and are releasing the RAZR in colors other than silver and black.

Trojan Woman

Wednesday, July 27, 2005 01:20 PM

This is just pure comedy. One of my ex-roommates was all about Hillary Duff, he even admitted to having wet dreams of her, and licking her face. Yes, it is/was gross to have that image in my head, and I'm glad I could share it with you. I'm sure he'd pop a woody if he saw this. Hillary Duff uses Trojan's! Yes!

I was at a resturant for lunch yesterday, and I was browsing thru a free newspaper I found this cartoon. I thought it was appropriate.

Inspiration

My brother told me this today.

"it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll."AC/DC
I hate to sound old and weird, but I think that we often forget how a younger mind really thinks. And talking to him reminds me of myself at his age. It's quite refreshing.

Liberals

This website is hilarious. Although I do feel there are only two sides in this country politically. Which sucks for some of us that don't align 100% with either side. Oh well, a good laugh nonetheless.

This seems like the ultimate keyboard, if it's somehow wireless. Which might be hard to do with the power requirements of running a display for each key. Pretty cool nonetheless.Cool full color customized keys.English keyboard layout.Keyboard layouts for each program!!!Keyboard layouts for games!

Regular Mexico

Friday, July 22, 2005 10:37 PM

Regular Mexico as opposed to which kind of Mexico? Amazing how sensitive we've gotten about other countries. Last time I checked Mexico is one of the dirtiest places I've ever visited.I am making a sweeping generalization, I have only gone to like two out of a huge number of cities in Mexico. Perhaps the further I would go south the more "clean" it would get? I seriously don't think so.This t-shirt is far less tolerable than "Regular Mexico."

Why was this site down?

Tuesday, July 19, 2005 01:30 PM

Some of you might have noticed, that this site was down for a significant period of time. Something like 2 weeks. Well I really wanted to install MovableType 3.X from a fresh install. And migrate my entries over via the import tool. Why did I do that and not just the upgrade, you ask? Cause I love pain? No, because I had a shit load of comment spam, and I decided to write a program that eliminates obsurb amounts of comments from a location. It was really interesting. I had something on the order of 22,000 comments. I was able to sucessfully eliminate approximately 15,000 comments. The program still needs to be properly hashed out. But of course I'll be posting the source on a part of my site that's yet to be put up. How long? At the most 2 weeks. I hope...

More Light

Thursday, July 07, 2005 09:26 PM

This is cool, so while browsing my feeds, I found this really cool table. The Helen Hamlyn Research Centre claims,

"The resulting artefact 'The Sunlight Table' brings natural light into workspaces and creates unspoken, ambient interactions while working."
I think we should all have one of these. This would spruce up, or start to reconnect the cubicals with the outside world.

That's Klingon for success!

"Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results."-Anonymous

Panic!

Sunday, July 03, 2005 04:21 AM

Amazing. Don't ask me how, but I got to listen to the new MxPx album entitled, "Panic!"panic_cover.gif[Get this one.]One word, Amazing. Two words, Welcome Back. The last album was just utter crap.beaa_cover.gif[Skip this one.]I think there was like one song on the last album that I enjoyed. I can't even remember the name of the track. So this album, "Two thumbs up!" I think they finally found their new sound. If anything there's a mix of their new sound, and their old sound. It's almost perfect. Of course, I'd want more of that old sound, but it's all good. Everything is constantly changing.
