THE only downside to running open source software is the lack of Adobe support across the board. Sure there's our own PDF readers and generators, but Flash has always been lacking. Especially when MySpace forced all of their users to upgrade to Flash 9. Luckily we have someone at Adobe on our side!!! Thanks! All I had to do to get it working was....
- Download the beta tarball here.
- Find out where in your distro you have libflashplayer.so located. $ slocate libflashplayer.so
- Backup your old flash player library plugin.$ cp <path to flash lib>/libflashplayer.so <path to flash lib>/libflashplayer.so.old
- Copy your new flash player library plugin into the same path as the old one.$ cp <path to new flash lib>/libflashplayer.so <path to old flash lib>/libflashplayer.so
- Restart firefox and enjoy!
