Page Views Equals Ad Revenue
Saturday, December 16, 2006 03:49 PM
I think everyone that is "Web 2.0 savvy" realizes that "page views" is not the "end all, be all" metric for declaring "I beat you." But the press sure as hell loves to stir it up, with their spin. I'd say all press is good press, especially with MySpace, and their need for resources to stay on top of their social networking perch. Technically, it's all about Ads, because at the end of the day it's how much money you have in the bank. Thus maybe it's really all about Page Views? Businessweek, has a great article on this whole MySpace beats Yahoo situation.

This is for those of you who swap back and forth between VI, and Visual Studio. I know probably a small demographic, but nontheless.... I've had this problem of always pressing the escape key, some of us have a problem typing, ":w". Well your problems are solved. A co-worker of mine has found the ultimate "done right" Visual Studio add-on / plugin. It's called viemu, and you can check out the website here.
Online Shopping Experience

I was browsing Verizon's wireless site, to look at which of their phones has EVDO and Bluetooth™ capability. I stumbled upon a feature they have for examining their cell phones online. It's flash based, and extremely useful. I can compare the cellphone in question to simple common objects. It serves as a reference point, so the shopper can get a feel for the size of the phone. This vastly improves the buying experience especially with a product such as a cell phone.
