It's time to get back into using LaTex again. It took some time, but I finally figured out how to get it up and running. At first I just installed tetex, and ports barfed. Here's the correct sequence of port commands to get it all setup.
port install openmotif
port install tetex
What is even cooler is when invoking command-r in TextMate it will launch a PDF viewer of your tex file. Which totally rules! I also found these really cool tex templates for resumes here.
