I love the simplicity of a site like this, it's like if Charlie Rose were in blog form focused solely on creative maker types. This takes me back to several debates I've had with friends about the dream computing setup. It's called usesthis.com.
All interviews ask just four questions:
- Who are you, and what do you do?
- What hardware do you use?
- And what software?
- What would be your dream setup?
Here's list of internet / programming / computing heroes I thought were memorable:
- Jason Kottke
- Derek Powazek
- Jeffrey Zeldman
- Eric Meyer
- Andy Hertzfeld
- Brad Fitzpatrick
- Rob Pike
- Russ Cox
- Bret Taylor
- Mike Krieger
- John Resig
- Jeff Lindsay
- James Gosling
- Robert Love
- Marco Arment
- Jason Fried
- Mitch Altman
- David Heinemeier Hansson
- Guy Kawasaki
- Cal Henderson
- John Siracusa
- Joe Hewitt
- John Gruber
